GRÜNHEIDE, Germany — Tesla's German factory workforce has overwhelmingly voted to subcontract its labor negotiations to the very union it rejected in this week's works council elections. The move, described by the victorious non-union group Giga United as a 'streamlined operational solution,' will see IG Metall handle all collective bargaining despite holding only 13 of 37 seats. Giga United secured 24 seats after campaigning on a platform of workplace harmony and reduced bureaucratic friction.

'The math became clear almost immediately,' said Lars Bruckner, Giga United's newly elected works council chairman, standing near a whiteboard diagramming the subcontracting process.
